Life Around the Barn

🦃 Meet Larry — Our Narragansett Turkey with Attitude
You’ll spot Larry strutting his stuff around the yard like he owns the place — and honestly, he kind of does.
He’s proud, talkative, and never misses a chance to show off his feathers. His favorite pastime? Pooping on the patio (much to everyone’s dismay 😂).Larry may be bossy, but he’s also curious and surprisingly social — you’ll often find him following visitors around, especially if there’s a snack involved!

🐐 Meet Apple — Our Sweet Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Apple was born in October 2024, and from the moment we met her, we knew she was something special. We weren’t planning to keep any of the goat babies that season… until Apple came along. 💛
She stole our hearts instantly — always by our side, curious about everything, and happiest when she’s right in the middle of farm life. I’ve never left a baby with her momma this long, but Apple and her surrogate momma Moana share such a special bond that we just couldn’t separate them.
If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Apple still sneaking in a nursing session.

🐰 Meet Ridgeglow — Our Gentle New Zealand Bunny
Born Sept 17, 2025, Ridgeglow was a single baby — just like Larry! And around here, single babies tend to get a lot of extra attention. 💕
Her calm, easygoing nature made her an instant favorite. She’s happy to snuggle, curious about everything, and never in a rush. You might spot her hopping through the grass in her tiny harness — Kylie loves taking her for walks around the yard, and Ridgeglow seems to love every minute of it.

🐷 Meet Tiny — The Pig Who Proved Big Things Come in Small Packages
Tiny was the runt of one of our very first litters — small, fragile, and fighting to survive. He taught us more about life (and pigs!) than we ever expected. ❤️
Though he started weak, Tiny surprised us all by becoming the leader of his litter — strong, confident, and full of personality. He’s still a total sweetheart at heart. If you scratch his belly, don’t be surprised when he flops right over, legs in the air, soaking up every second of attention!

Meet Birdie — the kitty that goes wherever we go.
She adores attention and is always the first to greet our Farm School kids. She may be tiny, but she has the biggest heart. You’ll usually find her right alongside her brother, Dude, and with her sharp hunting skills and friendly nature, she’s the perfect farm cat.

🦆 Meet Tawny & Bramble — Our Silver Appleyard Duck Duo
Hatched Aug 2025, Tawny and Bramble are our charming Silver Appleyard pair — and their story is one of our favorites! For 28 days, our Silkie hens faithfully sat on these eggs, never suspecting that ducks were inside. You can imagine their surprise when the little ones hatched… and immediately went swimming! 😂
Even with the confusion, the hens loved them just the same. Tawny and Bramble have grown up bonded to their Silkie “family,” and our Farm School kids have had the joy of watching them waddle, splash, and grow up right here on the farm.

NewMeet Fleck — the pup who thinks he’s everyone’s favorite… and honestly, he might be right.
Our Pyrenees Keena and Hawkeye fell in love from the very first moment they met, and their sweet boy Fleck was born right here in our hay room, tucked into the warm dirt like he belonged on the farm from day one.
He’s the perfect blend of both parents — gentle, goofy, loyal, and always ready for attention. If you’re petting another animal, Fleck will quietly slide himself right in the middle just to make sure he gets his share of love, too.
He’s also the best backup for his momma, shadowing her everywhere as they spend their days playing, patrolling, and lounging together across the patio furniture like they own the place.
He truly is part of the heart of our farm. 💛
