My daughter Kylie and I love spending our days on our little family farm, growing food, caring for animals, and finding new ways to turn the world around us into opportunities to learn. 🌿
What started as simple kitchen experiments and garden projects has grown into Rooted Discovery, our hands-on homeschool curriculum created here at K2 Acres.
Each project begins with something worth getting curious about. We might explore the science hidden inside a pumpkin, learn an old-fashioned skill, discover how people used plants throughout history, or make something useful with our own two hands. Along the way, we weave together science, history, nature, creativity, and practical skills.
Our goal is simple: to help kids stay curious, work with their hands, and discover just how much there is to learn from the world around them.

At K2 Acres, we cultivate curiosity and connection through hands-on learning. Rooted Discovery brings the spirit of our farm into your home through educational kits and printable curriculum designed to get kids creating, experimenting, and exploring.
We believe that when children experience the process of making, growing, and discovering for themselves, they gain confidence, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment that can’t come from simply reading about it.
We believe in the power of making things with our hands, hearts, and imagination. We want kids to see that they are capable of creating, building, growing, experimenting, and figuring things out for themselves. Ideas grow wild here, and every project begins with curiosity.
Learning goes far beyond the classroom. By weaving together history, science, nature, and traditional skills, we help kids understand not only how something works, but where it came from and why it matters.
We teach that the world isn’t limited by what’s on a store shelf. It’s an open field waiting for discovery, creativity, and care. With a little imagination and a willingness to get their hands dirty, kids can grow not only food, but also the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make and do incredible things themselves.
