Discovering Roselle: The Flower Behind Jamaica Tea 🌺
This week in our Farm to Table class, we gave traditional Jamaica tea a spooky twist! Using roselle calyces grown right here on our farm, the kids learned about natural color, flavor, and the science of steeping plants into “potion-like” brews. The deep ruby-red color made it the perfect Halloween drink—we called it Witches’ Brew and talked about how it gets its magical color from nature, not dye.
